Elizabeth J. Harrison, Q.C. - Chair

Elizabeth Harrison holds a law degree from the University of Alberta. She joined Farris, Vaughan, Wills & Murphy, Barristers and Solicitors, in 1973 and has been a partner of that firm since 1978. Ms. Harrison practises in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate finance, and general corporate and commercial law. She is a member of the Vancouver, Canadian and International Bar Associations and has served as a director of the International Finance Centre, various corporations and committees. She has been a member of the boards of the St. Paul's Hospital Foundation and Vancouver Opera, and has served as vice-chair of Crofton House School.
Thomas W. Harris - Vice Chair

Tom Harris is the owner and president & CEO of several Vancouver Island based companies; Tom Harris Chevrolet Cadillac Ltd., Island Kia, Harris Mitsubishi, and Tom Harris Cellular Ltd., a Telus Mobility dealer with 15 locations in B.C. and Alberta. He is a past chair of the Nanaimo and District Hospital Foundation Board, the British Columbia Automobile Dealers Association (BCADA), and is the immediate past chair of the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA), which represents 4,300 franchised new car and truck dealers of all makes from across Canada. He has served as the chair of the Nanaimo United Way Campaign, has recently chaired a successful campaign to build a new permanent home for St. John Ambulance in Nanaimo, and serves on the Nanaimo Community Foundation Board.
Christopher C. Gardner

Chris Gardner is Vice President, Strategic Planning and Corporate Development at the Britco Group. Britco is the largest modular manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest and an Official Supplier of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games. Mr. Gardner’s experience includes work in the Asia Pacific as a Director of Corporate Finance for ING Investment Bank as well as positions in the International Finance Department of Samsung Electronics and at the law firm of Lee & Ko in Seoul, South Korea. In the community, Mr. Gardner is a member of the Capital Committee for the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation and of the Organizing Committee for the Surrey Regional Economic Summit. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia.
Donald P. Hayes(Southern Vancouver Island appointment area)
Donald Hayes is currently the President and CEO of Hayes Forest Services Limited. He serves as Vice Chair of the Board of the Royal B.C. Museum and has past experience in a variety of Boards, including Forest Renewal B.C., Truck Loggers Association and New Relationship Trust and First Nations Initiatives. Mr. Hayes has a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant.
Brian G. Kenning

Brian Kenning is presently a Director on the Boards of British Columbia Railway Company ("BCRC"), MacDonald Dettwiler and Royal Oak Ventures and is Chair of the B.C. Cancer Foundation. He was formerly a director of Catalyst Paper Ltd and Managing Partner of Brookfield Asset Management (formerly Brascan Corporation). Mr. Kenning has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics and an MBA.
Gordon R. Larkin

Gordon Larkin is a recently retired Pacific Region Representative with the Canadian Labour Congress. Prior to his 25 years of service to working people throughout BC and the Yukon, Mr. Larkin was a commercial fisherman on BC’s west coast. As such he developed an intimate understanding of BC’s west coast communities and their dependence upon reliable maritime transportation. His career has included involvement in numerous community and political initiatives. A former Director of the Pacific National Exhibition, Member of the BC Racing Commission and long serving member of the Campaign Labour Committee of the United Way of the Lower Mainland, Mr. Larkin is the 2007 recipient of the United Way’s Joe Morris Award in recognition of his commitment to building a better community.
Maureen V. Macarenko
(Northern Coastal and North Island appointment area)
Maureen Macarenko is president of G.W. Nickerson Co. Ltd., a deep-sea ship agency serving the ports of Prince Rupert, Kitimat and Stewart. She has served on the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce as a director for many years, as well as serving as a director of the Prince Rupert Health Care Society, the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital, the Prince Rupert Visitors and Convention Bureau, the Prince Rupert Ladies Softball Association, the Prince Rupert Golf Association and the Northwest Corridor Development Corp. Ms. Macarenko was also a founding director of the Prince Rupert Airport and is chair of the Prince Rupert Airport Authority.
Graham M. Wilson

Mr. Wilson has extensive experience in business and corporate finance having served from 1988 to 2002 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Westcoast Energy and concurrently President and Chief Executive Officer of the Services Division for Westcoast Energy from 2000 - 2002. Previously Mr. Wilson served for five years as Vice President Finance and Administration for PetroCanada Inc. and prior to that was for nine years Vice President Finance of MacMillan Bloedel. Mr. Wilson currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Itron Inc., Hardwoods Income Trust and Daylight Resource Income Trust. Mr. Wilson holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Science from McGill University.
